While in Washington, Mr. Rose attended the iTBO risk assessment meeting. The first operational testing of Leidos software 1.05 for TFDM started on Aug. 20. SMEs from DFW, D01, EWR, and NCT attended; as of Aug. 28, there have been 50 discrepancy reports (DRs) written on the 1.05 software build. This testing continued through Sept. 19. Contractors, NATCA SMEs from around the country, and AJV-7 support will be testing the entire time. The newest build 1.1 was delivered in September to the Tech Center for an early look. Site-wise, CLT has agreed to accept three 24-inch displays for TMU in the new tower. IND tower layout has been finalized and the members are pleased. Upcoming PSS at EWR, JFK, and LGA will be attended by the TFDM ops team in the next couple months. PHX site operational testing is scheduled for the end of October. NATCA TFDM has requested two TFDM monitors be installed in the mock tower located at the William J Hughes Technical Center to evaluate the Eizo monitors in a tower environment. NATCA TFDM participated in the Validation & Verification for the TFDM Ops Manual (L24) and Quick Reference Guide (L30). Changes will be sent to Saab to ensure these manuals are completely up to date. The Ops Training Team completed ATCS Cadre training with six National Cadre, identified by NATCA National, and two Contract Support Cadre. The first Course Conduct will be at the end of October, which will include representatives from AJI and NATCA TFDM SMEs, who have not seen the system, nor have they ever worked with AEFS. PHX FDIO shadow mode software PTR fix testing and Site Acceptance Test (SAT) procedure checkout was scheduled for the week of Aug. 26. PHX Interface Risk Reduction Testing Phase three was conducted during the week of Aug. 5. The next round of testing was tentatively scheduled for the week of Aug. 26. We held a meeting with Leidos and FAA personnel to discuss FAA Academy System and Technical Instruction Book (TIB) deficiencies and course of action. An action plan was created, and a schedule was put in process to resolve issues in time to meet M- Demo planned to start Dec. 3 at the WJHTC. AEFS improvement left the Tech Center at the end of September to be implemented at CLT, CLE, and PHX.
