SAFETY AND TECHNOLOGY DEPARTMENT September 30-October 6, 2019 Update AIRSPACE Jim Davis (PCT) is the National Airspace Rep for NATCA. His report and reports from the various airspace team leads are below: Florida Metroplex August-September Update by Christian Karns Aug. 5-9: • Completed South facilities airspace review. • Started development of implementation plans for Q and Y post-implementation, January and May of 2020. • Completed South SIAP design package review. • Reviewed Tampa and F11 design packages with ZMA. • Pre-planning for Industry SIMs. • Updated dates for Skip on project timelines. • Updated post-implementation calendar dates. • Updated airport tracker. Aug. 12-16: • Completed flight simulation and modifications on 11 procedures. • Coordinated with AJV-A on providing an SME for first meeting of Chart Note and Holding development. • Coordinated with National DataComm to provide an SME for first meeting of Chart Note and Holding development. • Finalized and signed all Airspace Packages. • Finalized MIA and FLL airspace. Aug. 19-23: • Developed implementation plan for Q and Y post-implementation. • Reviewed and revised Project file for Q and Y post-implementation. • Developed and planned calendar for rest of 2019 and Q and Y post- implementation. • Met with HQ Laura to discuss public outreach with airport authority for EA. • Met with NEC POCs to collaborate on calendar and SMEs/POC utilization. • SIAPs completed and delivered to ATAC. Aug. 29-31: • Environmental interviews for south Florida at ZMA. • Chart Notes, Holding etc. work at TPA. • DataComm participation from Harris Corp review of procedures. • AJV-A participation on Chart Notes accuracy and training.
