occupy their DySim lab. We have begun discussions with ZLA as to what resources may be needed for implementation. Milestones and Projected Activities for the Next 30 Days: • Oct. 1-4: Core team met with WSC to facilitate publication process in Des Moines, Wash. • Oct. 7-11: MIST team worked with TMUs at ZLA in Palmdale, Calif. • Oct. 15-18: SRMP for conventional SIDs and STARs, ZLA LOAs, and SOPs in Palmdale, Calif. Western PBN Update by Josh Haviland San Francisco International Airport - Industry flight simulation for the new SERFR/BSR RNAV STAR was completed. As anticipated, energy management for descent/deceleration has proven challenging and minor adjustments to the STAR are needed. A core work group meeting was held discussing possible solutions, which have been forwarded to NorCal TRACON for consideration. Aspen-Pitkin County Airport - After several months of coordination, AFS-430 Flight Research and Analysis Group was able to schedule a flight simulation test of the PBN procedures for KASE. ATC and the PBN Co-Leads attended. The primary objective of the test was to verify flight deck line-of-sight to the airport prior to the Decision Altitude on the notional RNP approach procedure. Metropolitan Oakland International Airport - The Western Service Area NAS Analytics/Environmental Team recently completed the initial Environmental Review for the AANET STAR. Concerns regarding noise abatement have been raised by the Port of Oakland and a work group meeting will soon be scheduled to discuss minor redesign options. CSA PBN Update by Brent Luna We are working with AJV-14 and facilities to move PBN/VORMON work forward. The following items are our highest current priorities in Central and we hope to continue and add to this list: • VORMON is equal in importance to all of these projects. • Given the lead time required for the Federal Rulemaking and Environmental Review, T-Route and Q-Route work needs to be completed one-year prior to the decommission date of the navaid. If facilities see navaids on the waterfall without mitigations in place, please reach out to ensure we know about it and we will help get work is scheduled. Fort Worth Center - JEN VORMON work that creates new RNAV Jet and Prop STARs for KDFW to mitigate the decom of JEN VOR has been completed and is awaiting environmental review.
