The ZBW VORMON project kicked off Oct. 8 at ZBW. There are 23 VORs that are scheduled to be removed within ZBW and we are going to start mitigating the removal of them all. There are only five days of meetings currently scheduled for this work right now, so we will see how far we get with this project. While we likely won't be able to complete the work on the removal of all 23 during these five days of work, we can hopefully complete the work on some of the easier ones and have the framework laid out for what will be required to remove the remainder. Northeast Corridor/TBO Update by Phil Hargarten NEC pre-implementation and implementation milestone status update: • Implement TBFM pre-departure scheduling PIT departures to PHL - Completed. • Implement CRDA DCIA 27R/35 with RNAV35 at PHL - On track for implementation prior to the end of the calendar year. This milestone was at risk due to potential operational limitations involving heavy aircraft. The facility has agreed to implement however utilization will be relatively low with limited benefit. • Conduct IDRP prototype workforce re-familiarization - Web training completed in May. Scenarios component scheduled for completion by Q1CY20. • Implement ZNY Offshore PBN Routes - Implementation scheduled for Oct. 10. • Conduct CRDA feasibility analysis for EWR 4R/29 with lower minima - Initial analysis complete. Facility engagement planned for end of October. • Conduct CRDA feasibility analysis for EWR 22L/11 with lower minima - Initial analysis complete. Facility engagement planned for end of October. • Conduct analysis to identify enhancements to improve data driven TFM decisions - TFM shortfall analysis centers on rate calls during GDP to inform enhancements to address shortfalls. Plans to engage CDM FET as analysis continues. • Conduct analysis to evaluate impact/benefit of applying .308 at EWR - Data gathering in progress. N90 engagement required. • Improve departure management for flights destined LGA - Conducting analysis to down select focus departure airports. • Implement PDRR/ABRR enhancements - Software changes in development. Planned for fall of 2020. • Implement DSP enhancements - Initial enhancements Deployed June 2019. Remainder planned for Fall CY2020. • Implement Eastern Seaboard High Alt PBN routes (ACR) - Scheduled for Q4 CY2020. Meetings and activities: • July 29 - Participated in TBFM meeting with ZOB. • July 31 - Participated in Multiple Airport Route Separation (MARS) industry technical interchange meeting in DC. • July 31 - Participated in quarterly Metroplex leads meeting. • Aug. 7-9 - Leave. • Aug. 13-14 - Participated in PBN NIWG Barriers to EoR workgroup. • Aug. 16 - Participated in EoR Human Factors Guidance review.
