proving ground for space-based ADS-B in the NAS. This will also greatly help the facility when they lose the grand turk radar. ZSU is also going to play an integral part in the success of this program. Both facilities attended a "quick look" at the FAA Tech Center the week of Aug. 12. They were able to observe space-based ADS-B tracks in the Caribbean on the ERAM platform. Both facilities continue to remain thoroughly involved with our IOC date of March 2020 well in sight. Discussion has started with the Agency about integrating space-based ADS-B with ATOP. The ASEPS and ATOP teams will be having a "future concepts" meeting in Atlantic City in early October. The goal is to come up with a list of short-term and long- term goals to ingest and utilize Space Based ADS-B in the ATOP platform. ASSC: PIT FTI wireless cutover took place the week of Sept. 9. The cutover went extremely smooth with minimal issues. Meetings for MCI FTI wireless cutover were scheduled for early October, and PDX Field Familiarization started in October. ANC and ADW will be the last two facilities to receive ASSC. There is now Agency discussion on deploying surface surveillance to facilities that currently have nothing. AJI and AJT have voiced a need moving forward. As this conversation continues, NATCA will remain actively involved. MEARTS Fusion: 3nm Fusion in MEARTS is a complex undertaking requiring multiple tower, approach, and En route sectors to come online with Fusion at the same time. ZAN has been on Fusion since August 2015. HCF has been on Fusion since Aug. 1, 2017. ZUA transitioned to Fusion on March 26, 2018. ZSU had a very successful OSD on March 19-22. Workforce training was successfully completed June 2-12. ZSU transitioned to Fusion on June 13, 2019. Interval Management: Prototype work continues for development of the STARS ADSB- In CHI. The challenge is the amount of information that needs to be conveyed to the controller, while not inundating the data block. ECAVS workgroup continues the discussion on phraseology. The focus at the moment is where in the clearance to put third party flight ID. ACSS Flight Test at ZAB/P50 successfully tested the avionics in September. One last test will be performed in the near future. Terminal Fusion: The Fusion Focus Group continues to track and resolve facility- reported issues with Fusion. These are largely issues with the underlying surveillance infrastructure, and experts from all fields are available to assist. Please report any issues to your OSF and our NATCA SBS group for assistance. It is critical that actual data is recorded for evaluation and resolution. Raleigh-Durham (RDU) is back up on Fusion. the SBS team would like to thank RDU for its patience and flexibility in addressing the Fusion issues.
