• Inhibit function for coordination. o Inhibit function to be removed except manually by the controller. o Inhibit function to prevent external message transmission for automatic coordination. • Current inhibit (handoff) function is for inhibiting handoff and transfer of communications. 58339 FP from Honolulu rejected due to stuck flight plan. • Problem Description: o FP was received from HNL and rejected (DR) by ATOP due to flight plan in ActiveNext from the previous day. After the aircraft exited the ATOP FIR, flight crew logged back on to ask for frequency. Controller inhibited handoff and assumed control in order to uplink frequency. After re- enabling handoff, flight moves to ActiveNext again, but CPDLC connection is not terminated automatically, preventing flight from being removed. o The CPDLC End Of Service timer was not rescheduled after re-enabling handoff because the a/c had already entered downstream facility. The flight can remain ActiveNext for long periods of time without AT awareness. HUMAN PERFORMANCE Aaron Katz (P50) is the Article 114 Rep for Human Performance.
