FAA Runway Safety Program – 804B
The FAA Runway Safety Program aims to prevent
runway incursions and enhance airport safety
through proactive measures, including pilot and
air traffic controller awareness, collaborative
efforts with airport stakeholders and promoting
runway safety initiatives that leverage
technology. The program focuses on improving
communication, procedures, and awareness to
ensure safe runway operations.

FAA- Terminal Precipitation on the Glass (TPoG) – 720
TPoG will provide terminal controllers with
consistent access to accurate, reliable, and timely
depictions of precipitation in relation to their areas
of control responsibility and provide a greater
ability to issue accurate precipitation advisories
to safely and efficiently maneuver traffic around
weather, and to effectively anticipate changes to
traffic patterns and separation strategies.

NATCA & FAA Collaboration Program – 804E
The NATCA & FAA Collaboration Program is a joint
group that provides Collaboration Facilitators (CF)
to facility, district and regional leadership. These
Collaboration Facilitators are equal numbers of
NATCA Representatives and FAA Managers, with
the ability to help leaders assess and work through
their issues that they may face at their facilities.

NATCA/FAA Professional Standards Program – 205
Professionalism is fundamental to the success of
any organization whose primary function is safety
and where the public's trust must be earned and
guarded. The Professional Standards Program
employs the power of peer-to-peer discussion
to give employees the ability to address conflict,
conduct or performance of peers before such issues
rise to a level that requires action by the Agency.

NATCA/FAA Respect Initiative – 205
The Respect initiative aims to address the
impact of workplace conflict on safety and
professionalism. Respect seeks to ensure a
workplace that provides an environment of
mutual dignity, support and respect among all
individuals that work together to protect the NAS.

in all workplace relations through education,
interaction and team building.

NATCA/FAA Turn Off Tune In – 205
The Turn Off Tune In is an initiative launched
in 2013 by NATCA and the FAA to eliminate
distractions in the operational workplace. Over
the last decade, the Turn Off Tune In team has
developed a proactive communications campaign
designed to educate and increase awareness
of the safety impact of distractions in air traffic
control operations, with an emphasis on electronic
distractions.

Operational Risk Management (ORM) – 814H
Unplanned interruptions to NAS systems and
services can create an element of surprise and
induce risk to the NAS. Technical Operations, Air
Traffic, and Implementers working together with
stakeholders to identify credible risks, worst case
scenarios, and develop mitigation plans are the
essence of ORM. The goal of ORM is to mitigate
the impact of surprise outages or eliminate them
all together.

Partnership For Safety (PFS) – 205
The mission of the Partnership For Safety (PFS)
program is to facilitate the identification and
mitigation of hazards at the local level through
the use of collaborative Local Safety Councils
comprised of local bargaining unit representatives
and management at facilities in the National
Airspace System (NAS).
