Members and their children from all over the country apply for the chance to win one of 20 $1,000 scholarships for higher education. The competition is fierce, but one winner stands above the rest, earning the distinction of President's Award. This year that award went to Victoria Velasquez, Notre Dame sophomore and daughter of member Richard Velasquez (VNY). Victoria is passionate about labor rights and civil rights of all groups, and hopes to one day put those passions to use as a civil rights attorney. NATCA is excited to contribute to the education of such a promising young member of the NATCA family. In addition to the President's award of $2,000, SkyOne has generously donated an additional $1,000 to the scholarship. Victoria will join us today before lunch to read her winning essay. $1,000 Scholarship Winners for 2014 Kendra Chao (Daniel Skolnick, ZOA) Cameron Degani (Mark Degani, ROW/ABQ, retired) Eric M Bradt (Gary Bradt, ZOB) Caitlyn Ballard (Michael Ballard, ZAU) Richard Keith (Lia M.
