Want to simply educate friends, family, and neighbors about what you do? Acting on a good suggestion by a FacRep last week, we took some of our favorite videos on our NATCA YouTube Channel and created a new playlist called "Career Day Material." WE WANT TO HEAR IT! One of the best parts of our job here in the Communications Department is working to get good stories into the hands of the media but we need your help! If your facility is doing great work, let us know immediately so we can try and get it reported and also have it nominated for an Archie League Medal of Safety A ward! HERE'S ONE GREAT EXAMPLE OF POSITIVE COVERAGE : Last week, we commemorated the one - year anniversary of the Chicago Center arson fire with special coverage in the NATCA Insider. We released these materials, which provide the details behind the incredible story of NATCA members rising above and beyond the call of duty under extremely difficult and unprecedented conditions: Video: Includes the ATC audio from the ZAU Video: Special panel at Communicating for Safety last March that discussed the event Story: Written by NATCA and published last week in the new issue of the quarterly magazine of the Air Traffic Control Association.
