The Benefits of a Diverse Workforce
Hi everyone. This Monday is Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. It's a moment for us to
reflect on the benefits of having a workforce that is diverse and inclusive. When we have
people from different backgrounds with different perspectives, we can be more
innovative and make better decisio ns as an organization. We're taking many steps to
cultivate this kind of workforce.
I'm proud to say that this past fiscal year, a significant number of ATO managers and
employees took the initiative to complete an EEO training class. Nearly 89% of ATO
ma nagers completed a class, exceeding our annual goal of 60%, more than three
months before the end of the fiscal year. We also had 37% of non - managers complete a
class, exceeding our annual goal of 10%, more than five months before the end of the
fiscal yea r.
I encourage everyone to take one of these training classes, which are available on eLMS ,
or in instructor - led format through the Civil Rights O ffice . There are many different
courses that cover topics like disability awareness, preventing harassment, providing
