The current plan is for an EAD604 system to be released after the EAD700 key site system is released. The EAD700 key site release is scheduled for mid - July with the field release following. The EAE100 system has three scheduled releases, TTL only in October, Data Com m disabled in January and Data Com m enabled in March. Update on Monitor Replacement There is an evaluation of the current group of monitors the last week of June; the CHI and Monit or teams will be participating. The intent is to view the monitors with as much scenario fidelity as possible so that the replacement can b e chosen. More information will be available after the demo is complete. Handoff to Non - U . S . The status of handoffs with NavCanada were discussed ; there have been on - going technical interchange mee tings with both the FAA and NavCanada. The meetings will co ntinue until the operations and engineering is fully understood by both parties. AJV - 7 Next Gen concepts for Controller - to - Controller Coordination and Conflict Probe Menus tools were briefed. There were several concepts that the team felt were not useful w hile others were, this information w as captured and given to AJV - 7. A task team was chosen and they will participate in July and September demos. The task team will brief on the outcome of the demos. ER 160556 Improving Fault Tolerance and Notification ER 141405/PRED 1641 improves RPD Fault T olerance by detecting and isolating errors prior to updating the display and rolling back the update to a known, safe state. This change could create a situation where the FDB is not updated; ER 160556 will address con troll er notification in these cases. A task team was formed to work on the issue. NEXRAD Steve Snyder provided an update on the status of the WTR 3.1 High Confidence system. There is a software issue that will be resolved in WTR 3.2 - 1, expected delivery i n August 2017. Due to multiple systems and limited resources, WARP is prioritizing WTR - 3.1/High Confidence issues bef ore WTR - 3.0/All Weather issues. All anomalies noted should be documented in AIMS. TR2 Early - D A briefing was presented on the Tech Refres h 2 (TR2) program. The Early - D portion will begin key site this year and full dep loyment before the end of 2018. The full Tech Refresh program will begin key site in 2018 with ful l deployment completed in 2019. Expanded 3 - M ile Airspace The 7110.65 are bei ng updated to allow 3 NM separation to expand from the current 40 NM to 60 NM for ASR - 9 and ASR - 11 rad ars using Monopulse technology. There are several different methods to accomplish this change and tho se alternatives were discussed. Sites interested in m aking this modification should work with their local FAST and Operations to determine their best method. OSHA Mike Odryna (ZBW) is the Chai rman of NATCA's OSHA Committee. He has provided an update for the membership.
