LABOR RELATIONS DEPARTMENT FAA WILL CONTIN UE TO OFFER IDENTITY PROTECTION AND RESTORATION SERVICES TO CURRENT FAA EMPLOYEES The FAA will co ntinue to partner with Identity Force to offer identity protection and identity restoration services in order to provide added safeguards in the ongoing protect ion of FAA employees' information. The Agency has exercised its option to e xtend the contract to Sept. 7, 2018. With the extension of the contract, the current coverage being offered will remain in full force and effect without any changes. If you are alre ady enrolled in the coverage, no action is necessary on your part to continue your coverage for another year. If you have not p reviously enrolled in IdentityF orce, you may still do so at this time. In order to enroll, you will need a unique verificati on c ode to access the IdentityForce website. Your unique code can be obtained by emailing the Agency at privacy@faa.gov and requesting your code. After receiving the code from the Agency, please visi t the IdentityF orce we bsite at https://secure.identityforce.com/benefit/faa in order to enroll. FAA BRIEFING ON AAQ - 500 REORGANIZATION On June 28, 2017, the Agency sent notice to NATCA of its realignment of AAQ - 500. Larry Ayers b riefed NATCA on July 21, 2017. AAQ - 500 is currently organized by geographic regions: Eastern, Central, and Western Service Areas. The change means that AAQ - 510, 520, and 530 will be deleted, and AAQ - 540, 550, 560, 570, 580, 590, 5A0, and 5B0 will be created. No job duties or work loca tions will change for any BUEs. However, NATCA is concerned that BUEs are being assigned duties that are technically part of their position descriptions, but that they ha ven't performed in many years. Gwendolyn Kimbrough spoke with Cindy Rooney, Director of Acquisition, and there seems to be agreement that refresher training is appropriate. NATCA is working with the Agen cy to make sure that employees who need refresher training are able to have such training.
