In addition, Mr. Kendrick attended the SBS, TAMR Look Ahead, SRM Panel, and participated on weekly OSF Technical telcons. TERMINAL FLIGHT DATA MANAGER (TFDM) Aaron Rose (NCT) is the Article 114 Rep for TFDM. His report is below: Due to medical issues, Mr. Rose was unable to attend CFS or any meetings in person the entire reporting period. Louis Caggiano (EWR) filled in during the absence and kept the program on track. John Short (DFW), Paul Lindstrom (MSP), Bridget Brazelton (DEN), and Nate Miller (MDW) all contributed and attended Ops team meetings, site surveys, training meetings, and testing at the William J. Hughes Tech Center. The above folks are the core SMEs for NATCA TFDM. Mr. Caggiano is the NATCA TFDM systems engineering lead. He is responsible for test events, adaptation, discrepancy reports (DRs), and program trouble reports (PTRs). In addition, he leads discussions and represents NATCA's interests with software and hardware related to TFDM. John Short is NATCA's lead for ATD-2 (Airspace Technology Demonstration) and also represents TFDM as a core SME for Traffic Management. He works on TFDM SMD (Surface Management Display) technology. Paul Lindstrom also works Traffic Management and EFS (Electronic Flight Strips). Bridget Brazelton represents NATCA TFDM as the training lead. She is responsible to ensure EFS and SMD training is completed at each facility, and that all training materials are up to date and training simulators are working properly. Nate Miller works closely with Mr. Rose and Mr. Caggiano on safety-related items. Mr. Miller is the lead for NATCA TFDM safety and helping with test events. Moving forward, NATCA TFDM will be working closely with the TBFM NATCA team to include Blake Locke (ATL) and TBFM Article 114 Rep Matt Gammon. Mr. Locke will be joining the TFDM team at two meetings to help educate and answer questions related to Time Based Operations. The NATCA Terminal CHI (Computer Human Interface) team is becoming more involved with test events and EUIEs (Early User Involvement Events). With the involvement of each of the teams, TFDM looks to deploy on time next year. We are involving more SMEs chosen by NATCA National to ensure software is up to par for deployment. SMEs from CLE, CLT, ATL, IAH, PIT, AUS, TPA, and PHX all participated in the five-week operational testing event. Numerous DRs came out of this event which marked the first time we observed Build 1.05, the build prior to deployment of 1.1 at PHX. In addition to testing, the way information is presented was discussed in- depth and it was decided to change the way the strip bays operate so not to distract or confuse controllers. Both the CHI team and HF (Human Factors) approved of moving forward with the new approach.
