Between Sept. 24 and 26, a HF EUIE took place on Build 2.0 at the Leidos building in
Gaithersburg, Md. SMEs from EWR, DEN, MSP, CLT, and DFW took part. The 2.0 build
mainly deals with TMU-related software. Mike Hoprich from CLT joined the team to
discuss ATD-2 related issues since ATD-2 is deployed at CLT. It will eventually be part
of TFDM moving forward.
On Sept. 12, the EWR PSS (Pre-Site Survey) was completed. Mr. Caggiano
represented TFDM NATCA. The meeting covered training requirements, tech ops
resources, and equipment placement. These meetings will continue at all facilities
receiving TFDM and are important for all FacReps to attend.
On Sept. 10-11, the Advanced TMC training course design was held at the Tech Center
in New Jersey. Both Mr. Lindstrom and Mr. Short attended. Ms. Brazelton was on leave
but NATCA was in good hands. TFDM cannot complete this training portion until we
understand the changes coming within the software.
The Team spent time assessing the impact on the proposed DR/SIG additions to the
PHX 1.1 SW Build, particularly to the training and documentation. A cursory review has
indicated that the Tech Ops training course would not be affected by these changes,
however the Air Traffic course may be affected, and a full assessment still needs to be
determined.
