Regional OSHECCOMs - The NATCA OSHA Reps attended their respective Regional OSHECCOM meetings in all the legacy regions. Minutes from the Regional OSHECCOM meetings can be found behind the FAA firewall at the OSHECCOM KSN site. Establishment OSHECCOMs - Please contact your NATCA Regional OSHA Rep and let them know your facility's OSHECCOM status. The committee is working hard to identify which facilities have functioning OSHECCOMs, which ones need help, etc. NATCA Rep. OSHA Training - For a list of approved training, send an email to osha@natca.net. Current facility issues being worked by the NATCA OSHA Committee and others: • Western Pacific Region - o Researching open WIT Items throughout the region. o FAT ATCT air quality issues. Real Estate is now pushing Lessor to cure the issue. Geoff Bacci has reviewed previous air quality reports. • Eastern Region OSHA Rep CJ Jacques - No new issues reported. • Southwest Region OSHA Rep Deb Stewart - No new issues reported. • Northwest Mountain Region OSHA Rep Shawn Kramer - o Continuing follow up on ZSE and DEN ATCT. o HIO possible sewage leak being looked into. • Great Lakes Region OSHA Rep Sara Stockinger - No new issues reported. • From Southern Region OSHA Rep Mark Sellek o JAX was expected to start the construction on their roofing on Oct. 21, barring any circumstances from the facility. Currently they're exploring ways to get around the fresh air intakes when they use the small bit of adhesive to seal around the edges of mechanical equipment. o DAB continues to be under renovation and the project is going much more smoothly now that regular progress meetings are being held. The largest part of this project is coming in the next few weeks that will require DAB to go ATC Zero while new power distribution is put in place. ZJX will be assuming the airspace during this time. o MIA had a pre-con meeting on Oct. 29. I discussed this meeting with the FacRep and OSHA Reps at the facility ahead of time to prep them with any questions they would receive. So far, the communication seems to have improved on this project and we are hoping for more as it progresses. o AVL continues to use high grade floor mats to encapsulate ACM flooring under carpet that is wearing through, per the SECMs direction. No update yet regarding a carpet replacement project. o CAE has had repeated problems with their HVAC cooling this summer. The facility runs on a two-unit system and one failed this summer causing temps in the tower cab to rise. I'm in discussions with the facility about filing a UCR to bring attention to the issue to expedite repair/replacement.
