CHILD DEVELOPMENT CENTERS ("CDC") UPDATE Following the FAA's decision to close the Jacksonville Child Development Center ("CDC") in the su mmer of 2014, the FAA invited NATCA to set up a collaborative workgroup to jointly address issues resulting from the Agency's decision to change the CDC governance structure at its eighteen (18) remain ing CDC facilities nationwide. The details of the even ts that transpired while the workgroup was meeting, as well as what occurred after the workgroup issued its final report and recommendations, have been well - documented over the past twelve (12) months through various forms of commun ication to NATCA's membe rship. Nevertheless, subsequent to the workgroup's issuance of its final report and recommendations, NATCA continued to engage in high - level discussions with Agency stakeholders about the parties' continued collaborative efforts on CDC - related issues. Last week, those discussions resulted in a collaborative agreement between the FAA and NATCA to continue to meet quarterly in order to discuss issues and concerns arising from the operation of the CDC facilities.
