NATCA NATIONAL OFFICE DEPARTMENTAL WEEK IN REVIEW Octo ber 22 - 28 , 2016 LABOR RELATIONS DEPARTMENT ARC/AMC REORGANIZATION On Oct . 27, 2016, NATCA received a briefing from the Agency on organizational changes to the Mike Monroney Aeronautical Center (MMAC) and the Office of Region s and Center Operations (ARC). The change will realign the MMAC to report directly to the Assistant Administrator for the Office of Fin ance and Administration (AFN). Because the MMAC will no longer report directly to ARC, the Agenc y will rename ARC to the Regions and Property Operations (ARO) to better reflect the actual functions of that office. The Agency has represented that there would be no changes in pay, BUS code, or geographic location for any BUE. The Agency intends to im plement the organizational changes on Nov . 13, 2016. POCs: Region X RVP Mike MacDonald, Region X ARVP Ed Szczuka, ARC Representative Sally Smith, Assistant Director of Labor Relations Nicole Vitale, and Labor Relations Attorney Grant Mulkey . BRIEFING REQ UESTS On Nov . 1, 2016 , NATCA requested a briefing on FAA Draft Order 8120.23A, Certificate Management of Production Approval Holders. We are currently waiting for a response from the Agency regarding our request. POCs: Assistant Director of Labor Relation s Nicole Vitale and Labor Relations Coordinator Kendal Manson . On Nov . 1, 2016 , NATCA requested a briefing on the Agency's pilot program to randomly screen Agency employees and their vehicles at ATO Tier 1 facilities. We are currently waiting for a respo nse from the Agency regarding our request. POCs: Assistant Director of Labor Relations Erina Hammond and Labor Relations Coordinator Kendal Manson . On Oct . 31, 2016 , NATCA requested a briefing on NAS Security and Enterprise Operations (NASEO). We are cu rrently waiting for a response from the Agency regarding our request.
