of power and a redundant 12 - volt battery system gi ves it all the juice it needs. Also, the pontoon boat sits on top of the water, which makes it easier to prop el forward than an aluminum boat and thus more efficient. The new boats are bigger and safer too. Previous space and weight limitations required the small boats to make multiple trips to and from the shore to access materials needed for maintenance. The new pontoons support four adults and all the tools they need for the job, which saves time — and the platform connects directly to the ladders for safe docking and transition to the towers. A four - foot - high railing system surrounding th e deck further enhance s safety.
