A meeting was held on April 10th in McLean, V a., where we discussed Guided Visual App roaches, TCAS - Windshear Phraseology, and Obstacle Departure Procedures. We also received a final briefing on the ICAO NAV Canada Climb Via/Descend Via Phraseology, which will be implemented on April 27th. Our next meeting is scheduled to occur at the NASA Ames facility in San Jose, C alif., from July 18th - 20th. PARC NAV WG Our next meeting is scheduled fo r May 9th and 10th in Denver at the United Airlines Training Center. Established on Departure Operations (EDO) We received the draft report from the Tech Center on March 31, 2017 with comme nts due back by April 10, 2017. The final report will be released on April 21, 2017. Once the information has been finalized a briefing will occur in order to make the decision to move forward with an SRMP, revise the in formation, or scrap the concept. National Strategic Production Planning (NSPP) There will be a change in format as it con cerns the Tuesday NSPP telcon. AJV - 5 will continue to provide, via email on Fridays, a curren t and updated copy of the NSPP. The Tues day tel con will be held to answer any questions or concerns about the information provided the previous Friday. Baltimore Washington Roundtable Participated in the Baltimore Washington Roundtable, in which the residents of various communities would like f or the Performance Based Navigation (PBN) procedures implemented during the DC Metroplex be reverted back to the old flights paths. They claim these "super highways" in the sk y are creating constant noise. Lynn Ray, Mission Support Services VP, advised tha t we could not go back as those procedures as they no longer exists, but the FAA would look at their recommendations to see if any modifi cations could be accomplished. I spoke for about two hours going over the procedures and answering th eir questions and concerns. Many of their concerns were centered on arrivals on the final approach course being lower and faster than before, which we found odd as no changes were made to the Instrument Approach Procedures (IAPs). Washington D . C . Roundtable The next meetin g is scheduled for April 27, 2017 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM in Terminal A at Washington National Airport. TERMINAL AUTOMATION MOD ERNIZATION REPLACEMENT (TAMR) Aaron Rose (NCT) is the TAMR Articl e 114 Representative for NATCA. His report to the membership is below. New York TRACON declared ORD (Operational Readiness Decision) on April 7 to close out the Segment 1 portion of the TAMR waterfall. This means that ARTS 3E no longer exists withi n the National Airspace System. Thank you goes out to all NATCA TAMR r epresenta tives both retired and active. In addition, thanks goes to the 11 facilities on the Segment 1 waterfall for all your hard wor k and patience during the last six years; without your sacrifice and dedication to the membership t his could not have happ ened. It was a long road with many obstacles but due to hard work and collaboration this chapter of TAMR is now closed. This does not, in any way, mean that each of these facilities is left
