The AIR FPP is inte nded to protect AIR employees who may, in the course of aircraft certification surveillance and aircraft accident investigation, be required to observe work being performed o n or from elevated work areas. It is intended to protect AIR employees potentially exposed to hazards working at or above four feet in height. AIR will train Doug Shipley as the FPP Program manager, and he will then train other trainers. The Agency anticipates tha t training will begin in 2018. This is a new Order, and NATCA has several concerns about how BUEs will be responsible for working with third parties who are required to meet the standards. The Agency took several IOUs in response to NATCA ' s concerns. NATCA will continue to follow up with the Agency to assure that NATCA 's concern s are addressed.
