IDS - R NVS NextGen PMO JYO SDAT SBS TOCO TAMR TFDM TBFM UAS Wake Turbulence Weather LABOR RELATIONS DEPARTMENT NATCA PARTICIPATES IN NTSB INVESTIGATION AT GSO On September 14 and 15, 2015, NATCA part icipated in an NTSB investigati on at Greensboro Tower/TRACON. The NTSB came to the facility to investigate a September 7, 2015, accident where the pilot of N36HT appeared to become disoriented, lost radar and radio contact with GSO, and crashed into a quar ry approximately 6 miles from Greensboro International Airport. The NTSB assembled an ATC workgroup, which included NTSB Investigator Scott Durham, Potomac T RACON Operations Manager Heath Hans, and NATCA ASI Re presentative Erika Raun - Linde. The FAA investi gations team included Events Investigations Manager Pat Keene, Michael Dean from the Eastern Service Center QCG, and Brooke Lewis from AGC - 400. NATCA LR represented all bargaining unit employees interviewed by the NTSB in its investigation. NATCA RECEIVES BRIEFING ON REALIGNMENT OF AFN'S ADE On September 17, 2015, NATCA received a briefing on the Agency's plans to realign the Office of Solution Delivery Service (ADE) within the Office of Finance and Management (AFN). Although the realignment moved employees currently in ADE into new groups within the organization, the impacted bargaining unit employe es' job duties did not change. As a result, it was dete rmined not to submit bargaining proposals. BRIEFING ON HUMAN RESOURCES OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS (HROI) PROCEDURES FOR ACCOUNTING FOR FAA EMPLOYEES IN EMERGENCIES; VOLUME 11: GUIDANCE ON EMERGENCY SITUATIONS In May 2014, NATCA received preliminary briefings on a new chapter to Volume 11 of the HRPM, issued by the Office of Human Resource Management (AHR). The new chapter w as HRPM EMS - 11.4, Accounting for FAA Employees in Emergencies. The policy established the requirements for accounting for FAA employees in affected areas during an emergency to comply with the FAA Emergency Operations Plan. The policy also required all FAA employees to create and/or update their online FAA p rofiles with up - to - date emergency contact information. Although the policy was
