WEEKLY MESSAGE FROM ATO COO TERI L. BRISTOL The Joy of Giving Hi everyone. During this time of year, phrases and quotes can be found everywhere we look, encoura ging us to be thankful, thoughtful, joyful, and to remember others that are in need. Today, I want to talk a few minutes about CFC, our Combined Federal Campaign effort, because it is one of the positive ways we can give back. It happens to be the largest workplace giving program in the world. In fact, federal employees have contributed more than $7 billion dollars through CFC over the past 53 years. And we know that positive impacts can happen through workplace giving, because regardless of the amount you give or the cause you support, every donation adds up. Through the CFC, we can support causes that are especially important to us, whether they are close to home or around the world. You can help fight hunger. You can help the homeless, children, or the elderly. You can help fight diseases like cancer, help protect the environment, or help animals. There are groups that provide mental health services, or help people whose lives have been torn apart by war, or a natural disaster. That's just the beginning . There are more than 20,000 charities you can pick from. Of course, we can always give on our own, but that often takes more time and effort to find and vet the right charities. When we give through CFC, we do it as part of one FAA team. We also make it easier for the groups we're giving to, because they can process a
