o Vehicle ADS - B: NATCA does not want a specific area of the LAX airport to transmit vehicles. Hopefully we can continue with deployment at LAX in the near future. o ASDE - X tech refresh: Uneventful and moving forward smoothly. · Andrew Stachowiak (I90) o Participated in the SBS Implementation teleconference. o Traveled to Lafayette, LA to support the LFT ADS - B Fusion Kickoff meeting. The facility is well prepared for the upcoming adaptation changes, training, and December Flight Inspection. Looking forward to assisting them all the way to Fusion Operational status. o Exchanged emails with the FacReps of A11 and POC ATCT. An chorage Approach (A11) is in need of an Operational Suitability Demonstration evaluation. Brackett Tower (POC) is dealing with latent radar issues that have made their STARS TDW difficult to work with reliably; helped the FacRep with mitigation techniques involving ZPs, anomaly reports, and follow - up status calls. o On leave the last 2 days of this week, but stopped by SCT and talked to Mike Smith, NATCA SCT Automation Specialist. We discussed STARS issues and the recent challenges at POC. Also visited B rackett ATCT and looked at their Fusion Operation, and talked with controllers and management. The Fusion presentation looked good. Answered many questions and demonstrated some functions. · Tom Zarick (ZDV), National Interval Management (IM) Repre sentative o IM activities for the week included an IM Offsite Meeting on Tuesday. Discussed roles within the group and ways to improve communication. o The GIM - S Issues Work Group telcon was held on Thursday. Discussed current AIMS issues, open ER's and PR's. TEMPORARY OPERATION CONTINGENCY OFFICE (TOCO) : Tammy Norman (ZTL) is the TOCO Article 48 Representative. This is a one year detail at the Eastern Service Center to work on this project. Ms. Norman's report for this week is below.
